We know that every pet has their own personality and can have special needs. Customized services will keep your pets daily routine as close to normal as possible. We monitor elimination habits, appetite, give medications as needed and keep an eye on your pets overall well being while providing professional yet loving attention and care.
While taking care of your extended family we offer to take care of your home. Bringing in the mail, news papers, alternating lighting and opening or closing the curtains, taking out the garbage and recycling will make your home looked lived in. We also provide aquarium care, litter box and cage cleaning, as well as poo management of your dog’s yard.
Between the two of us we have over 60 years of experience in animal care. We graduated from Cedar Valley College with Associate Degrees in Applied Arts and Sciences in animal medicine and care. Our licenses, from the State of Texas for Registered Animal Technicians stay current by our yearly attendance of continuing education classes. Our membership with PUPS, Professional United Pet Sitters, allows us to stay current on issues regarding pet sitters and their clients.
As pet owners ourselves we know how hard it is to leave your pets in a place where they are unaccustomed. Being confined at a kennel or animal hospital in a concrete run or cage in a strange place, can not only cause pets undue stress it may expose them to other animal’s illnesses. We know having to make trips to take and retrieve a pet from the kennel is an added undertaking that pet owners would rather avoid.
We offer the alternative. With pet sitting provided by Shake-A-Paw your pets will be taken care of as if they were our own. You can leave assured that your pets are happy at home being cared for by capable hands.
As veterinary technicians we have worked in animal hospitals taking care of dogs, cats, birds, rodents, reptiles, fish and exotic pets. As pet people our families currently own 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 hamster, 2 snakes and multiple fresh water aquariums. We are dedicated to our own pets and are inspired to provide the best at home care possible for our client’s pets.
